Oilfield
Hollow glass microspheres, with their low density and high strength, can reduce density and improve suspension stability in oil drilling fluids, while simultaneously reducing friction and leakage, making them suitable for low-pressure, easily leaking formations.
As a raw material for oil well cementing, they possess excellent fluidity and compressive strength, improving thermal insulation and impact resistance, reducing the risk of annular channeling, and enhancing cementing quality in deep wells and long cemented sections. Hollow glass microspheres are also used to formulate low-density drilling fluids, effectively reducing drilling friction and improving drilling speed and efficiency.
As a coating filler for oil pipelines and subsea pipelines, they can reduce coating density, improve thermal insulation and corrosion resistance, enhance adhesion and fatigue resistance, and adapt to the high-pressure, corrosive environment of the subsea. Their low thermal conductivity, high pressure resistance, and chemical stability effectively extend pipeline service life, reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs, and meet the stringent operating conditions of offshore oil and gas engineering.
